WAITING ON GOD

Psalm 37:1_4, Isaiah 40:29_31.

_37:1 Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong;_

_37:2 for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away._

_37:3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture._

_37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart._

_40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak._

_40:30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;_

_40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint._

There is something massive like the Eagle and until you study an eagle you won’t fully grab what Isaiah is saying by the Spirit.

And Eagle can practically redeem its time and this is what Isaiah says happens to those who wait on the Lord.

But this redemption involves a process that many of us don’t want to go through.

We just want God to send someone to give us millions of Naira or that God should make that lovely awesome 6pack tall and have a nice car guy come our way....etc

People of Acts of God!!! It is dangerous to not understand the ways of God and get miracles from God. The Children of Israel is a classic example. 

Waiting on the Lord is key.

Waiting on God is one of the ways of God. Urgently is not a way of God. It’s a way of Satan.

And that’s why when you need something quick, Satan not God can provide it for you.

I'm sorry to say that God will make you wait.

Why?

Because miracles can burn your life.

David had a deep knowledge he will be King and we also know that knowledge can easily breed pride. So David was made to wait which is a great tactic of God to help out knowledge.

Remember 

Isaiah 14:13-14 KJV

[13] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Lucifer had the knowledge he could rank or depose God and this bred Pride, the sin in him.

Genesis 2:17 KJV

[17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

God knows that Pride will take center stage if they (Adam and Eve) knew.

That’s why you cannot simply understand the Bible by trying to reason for yourself even though you have read history, you will go wrong because your understanding will be flawed and you will not have wisdom that only God gives. 

When you understand that waiting is a way of God, you will begin to stop fretting.

You just cannot escape waiting and if you are a Redeemed of the Lord, you will go through it painfully.

David was pained towards the throne…

Abraham was pained towards getting Isaac…

Joseph was pained much in his journey to stardom…

Jesus was pained to the highest of pains before getting to the right hand of God even before getting to the cross...

All these people are examples of waiting on the Lord

I'm sorry to say this but maybe our pastors (preachers) don’t tell many this and only tell you and me about financial prosperity when they are on the pulpit. 

But that your pastor preaching Financial prosperity of sowing and reaping was at a time broke and those principles didn’t work for him because he was in his wait state of waiting.

But now he is in a large room and has money and you are listening to his message from his comfort zone and doubting if you will ever make it financially.

We cannot live a life of free thinking as believers because this is anti-faith, you have to be led by the Holy Spirit.

Anything short of that is not of faith.

Hebrews 11:1-3 KJV

[1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [2] For by it, the elders obtained a good report. [3] Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

It’s ok to challenge doctrines or Bible but you need to be like the Psalmist who always brings it to God and not social media so that he is led by Spirit.

Again anything that’s not Faith is sheer pride and your knowledge is a ticking time Bomb.

Waiting on God

Show me a man that is excellent in the dimensions of God and I will tell you of a man that constantly waits on God.  

We need to know that God doesn't force people to wait on him but the fact is that we can't exploit his realms and dimensions without cultivating and understanding the power of WAITING. 

Ps 37:34 _Wait for and expect the Lord and keep and heed His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; [in the end] when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it._ 

The only way to access and inherit the things of God is to wait on God with expectations, and at the same time keep his command.

Our quality (uniqueness) in this human realm is measured by the quality of time we spent waiting on God. 

Firstly check the Disciples in Act 4:13, their boldness, strength, and knowledge show the Pharisees that they have been waiting on Christ. 

Secondly Check the life of Moses, in Exodus. He waited on God on mount Sinai, and the result was enormous glory radiating over him. 

Daniel waited on God till Gabriel came with the answer. 21 days waiting without knowing that the answer has been sent from the one but he didn't give us. He waited 

The longer we wait on God, the more we are anointed with skills and understanding. The more we reflect on his glory

Waiting is a vital key in the kingdom, though it comes with some other virtues (Expectation, Faith, Patience, Obedient, etc.) that we may fully utilize its power. 

Bro/Sis let's Cultivate strong Staying Power (Power of Waiting)

In conclusion,

If God asks you to wait, He won't tell you how long. Just trust Him and be still. He knows all our needs and He alone got all the perfect gifts. Just be still because what you're gonna get will be worth the wait. 

God's timing is different from ours, wait for His timing.

A waiting stage is a place of the test (test of faith) and after receiving your Miracle, you come to a Place of Trust (Trusting God).

So when next you find yourself in the waiting place, you're able to trust that God will most certainly do it.

In case you're asking, "Is it easy to wait on God?"

Here is my answer 

If you find it easy in waiting then it cannot be God you are waiting on.

Probably you are waiting on someone or another entity.

When you are waiting on God, He takes away some of your comfort zones so that you will become Still and Know He is God.

That’s the whole essence of waiting…

It’s not like God cannot give you that thing you desire right now or give you that car, millions, or money; He can do more and exceedingly but then that is also dangerous for you if he hands it to you in a rush.

You will mess up and He will take it away in His anger as He took away Saul.
