LOVE AND MARRIAGE

A man asked, "What is LOVE?" and his mentor replied saying, "Go to the wheat field, choose the biggest wheat and come back". But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick another.

He went to the field, going through first row, he saw one big wheat, but he wonders may be there is a bigger one later. Then looking ahead, he saw another bigger one.

But maybe there is even a bigger one than this waiting for him he thought. Later, when he finished more than half of the wheat field, he started to realize that the wheat is not as big as the previous ones he saw, he knew instantly he had missed the biggest one, and he started to regret.

So, he ended up coming back to his mentor with nothing. The mentor told him, "THIS IS WHAT IS CALLED LOVE". You keep looking for a better one, but later you realize, you have already missed the right person.

What then is MARRIAGE?

This he asked again. His mentor said, "In order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back".

The same rule applies: You can only go through them once and cannot turn back to pick another.

This time around, he went to the corn field carefully not to repeat the previous mistake. When he reached the middle of the corn field, he had picked one medium corn that he felt satisfied, and came back to his mentor. Then he (the mentor) told him, this time you brought back a corn. You just looked for one that is nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one you get. That is MARRIAGE!

Morals

1. We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

2. A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.
